Verlängerung des Promotionsverhältnisses / Extension of the Supervisory Agreegment

Wie lange Ihr Promotionsverhältnis besteht, entnehmen Sie bitte Ihrem "Bescheid über die Annahme als Doktorand/in" oder schauen Sie im Promotionsportal nach.

Die Verlängerung des Promotionsverhältnisses richtet sich nach § 6 Abs. 3 der Promotionsordnung 2016.

Bei Fragen kontaktieren Sie bitte Herrn Phil Lucien Hänßler (Fakultäten 09-11) oder Herrn Fabian Widerna (Fakultäten 12 und 13).

  1. Bitte loggen Sie sich im Promotionsportal ein und klicken Sie unter „Meine Promotion“ bitte auf „Anträge“ und dann in der Zeile "Verlängerung" rechts auf das Symbol insert_new, um eine Antragsseite zu erstellen. Bitte für einen Verlängerungsantrag nicht mehrere Antragsseiten erstellen, da Anträge so ggf. unbearbeitet bleiben.
  2. Im Antrag müssen Sie einen Bericht über den Fortschritt der Dissertation (max. 2 Seiten) sowie eine Stellungnahme Ihres Betreuers/Ihrer Betreuerin hochladen.
  3. Beachten Sie bitte, dass auch die Stellungnahme Ihrer Betreuerin/Ihres Betreuers erst im letzten Vierteljahr Ihres Promotionsverhältnisses ausgestellt werden soll. In Ihrem Benutzerkonto können Sie im Modus „Ansicht“ sehen, bis wann Ihr Promotionsverhältnis läuft bzw. verlängert wurde.
  4. Wenn alle Voraussetzungen für eine Verlängerung gegeben sind, erhalten Sie postalisch eine Bestätigung über die Verlängerung des Promotionsverhältnisses. Bitte bewahren Sie diese Bestätigung sorgfältig auf. 
  5. Bitte aktualisieren Sie ggf. auch Ihre hinterlegte Adresse, da sonst die Bestätigung über die Verlängerung des Promotionsverhältnisses Sie nicht erreichen wird.

Bemerkung: Ohne bestehendes Promotionsverhältnis kann kein Promotionsverfahren (Anmeldung zur Promotionsprüfung) begonnen werden (siehe § 6 Abs. 2).

Extension of the Supervisory Agreegment

The deadline of your Supervisory Agreement is written in your "Confirmation of Acceptance to a Doctoral Studies" to find out how long your Supervisory Agreement is valid or have a look at the promotion portal.

The extension of the Supervisory Agreement is regulated by § 6 (3) of the doctoral degree regulations 2016.

For questions, please contact Mr. Phil Lucien Hänßler (Faculties 09-11) or Mr. Fabian Widerna (Faculties 12 and 13).

  1. Please log in to the promotion portal and click on "Applications" under "My Promotion" and then on the symbol insert_new in the "Extension" line on the right to creat an application page. Please do not create more than one application page for one application of extension, as applications may remain unprocessed.
  2. In the application you have to upload a report on the progress of the dissertation (max. 2 pages) as well as a statement from your supervisor.
  3. Please note that the statement from your supervisor should also only be issued in the last quarter of your supervisory agreement. In your user account you can see in the "View" mode until when your supervisory agreement is running or has been extended.
  4. If all prerequisites for an extension are fulfilled, you will receive a Confirmation of the Extension of the Supervisory Agreement (only German language) by post. Please keep this confirmation in a safe place. 
  5. Please update your address if necessary, otherwise the confirmation of the extension of the supervisory agreement will not arrive.

Comment: No doctoral examination (registration for the doctoral examination) can be started without an ongoing Supervisory Agreement (see § 6 (2)).
